A WOMAN who has worked for leading national relationship support charity Relate for 30 years has been honoured.

Joyce Siddall has been named as one of 13 “Relate Heroes” across the country for being instrumental in keeping her local branch running.

She has been nominated for the accolade by Relate Greater Manchester North (GMN), and received her award at a ceremony in London, held as part of the charity’s 75th birthday celebrations.

Mrs Siddall has been nominated for her “dedicated work” in helping Relate Greater Manchester North run successfully. Charity bosses say that without her tireless efforts, Relate GMN would not have survived.

Now working in a self-employed capacity as company secretary, she has been manager at Relate Bury for a number of years.

Mrs Siddall said: “I was really honoured to be nominated by my local Relate centre as a Relate hero.”

John Moorhouse, chief executive officer, comm-ented: “We are very proud that Joyce has been recognised as a Relate Hero. Joyce has worked tirelessly.”
