Robbers armed with handgun and knife steal cash and alcohol from off licence

ROBBERS armed with a knife and a handgun threatened staff at an off licence in Bury before stealing cash and alcohol. .

Two men entered Family Grocers and Off Licence in Craven Street at 9.50pm last Thursday (February 13).

The first offender, described as being around 6ft tall, was wearing a black bobble hat, black sunglasses, a light coloured scarf over his face and a dark navy or black jacket.

The second man is described as being around 6ft 2in tall and was wearing a grey and dark blue hooded top and dark trousers.

Detective Constable Michael Yates said: "We have already spoken to a number of witnesses but if you were in the area and remember seeing two men matching these descriptions please get in touch.

"If you know anything about who may be responsible I would urge you to contact police."

Police are appealing for information and witnesses and anyone with information should call police on 0161 856 8153 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
