A MAN has been jailed for 20 weeks for threatening to hit a woman over the head with a claw hammer.
Adam Wood, aged 22, of no fixed address, harassed Zoe Tate on July 23.
According to court documents, the details of the charge are that Wood telephoned Zoe Tate, of Lepp Crescent, Brandlesholme, four times and stayed silent when she answered.
He also threatened to hit her head with a claw hammer, pour petrol down her throat and set her own fire.
Wood also threatened to burn down Ms Tate’s home, damage her property and kill her mother.
He admitted the offence to Bury magistrates on Monday.
He was given a restraining order banning him from contacting Ms Tate for at least a year.
