HUNDREDS of shoppers flocked to the Mill Gate to see the UK’s favourite robot in the flesh – or rather the metal.
The Titan the Robot, who is eight foot tall, entertained half term crowds in Bury town centre with three performances showcasing his wisecracking comedy style.
From singing and dancing to displaying a few bodily functions and squirting the audience with robot tears, the metal giant wowed young and old alike.
Titan has become an international celebrity in recent years, being spotted with A-list stars such as Will Smith, Rihanna and Jackie Chan and appearing on Big Brother, the Gadget Show and Jools Holland’s Hootenanny.
Marie Gribben, centre manager at the Mill Gate, said: “Titan has been absolutely fantastic.
“We were not sure what to expect but Titan was a really slick performer, keeping the whole audience enthralled from start to finish.”
Next for families at the Mill Gate is a pirate day on April 9 complete the Captain Jack Sparrow lookalike, crafts and comedy shows.
