A SWATHE of fresh fundraising events for 2015 are being promoted by staff at Bury Hospice.

On March 28, a mini-rock music festival in aid of the hospice and EDS (Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome) UK will take place at the New Hark to Towler in Tottington from 12pm.

On April 3, V-Prest is back for its landmark fifth fundraiser for Bury Hospice, turning the Longfield Live and Riley’s in Prestwich into live music venues. Tickets are £5 and to book: call Tony Malone on 0161 253 7227 or email a.malone@bury.gov.uk

A spring fair featuring food, stalls, a raffle and a tombola is taking place at the hospice in Rochdale Old Road, Bury on April 11 between 1pm and 3pm.

Bury Croquet Club will hold their open day in Coronation Park, Radcliffe on April 18 between 11.30am and 4pm. Entry costs £1 with all proceeds to the hospice.

May 1 until May 9 will see Bury Art Museum host the Bury Art Festival. All pieces on display will be for sale, with a minimum of 30 per cent commission to the hospice.

Business and groups of golfing friends are being urged to take part in Bury Hospice’s annual golf tournament at Bury Golf Club on May 7 between 12pm and 4pm, costing £200 to enter per team of four.

Fundraisers are also urging daredevils and fitness fanatics take on a range of challenges for the hospice.

These include the Greater Manchester Marathon on April 19, the Manchester 10k on May 10, the Salford Dragon Boat Festival on May 31, TrekFest – 13, 27 or 54 mile charity treks in the Brecon Beacons – on June 6 and 7, or skydiving in Lancaster at any time.
