A 16-year-old boy remains in hospital with "serious" injuries after falling from a bridge onto a road.
Police and the ambulance service were called to the scene at 10.10am on Tuesday by a nearby resident who found the boy at the scene in Cherry Tree Lane, off Wellington Street.
The road was closed by police before the boy was taken to Manchester Royal Infirmary for treatment.
He is believed to have suffered broken bones in the fall, though the injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
