AN extra-special mannequin challenge was staged in Bury this Christmas.

Employees and customers at Persona, which runs social care support across Bury, got into the festive spirit by taking part in the social media craze which sees people being filmed while completely motionless.

The Christmas Mannequin Challenge was part of a series of events and activities held across December by Persona’s team to help stave off loneliness and keep people connected during the festive season.

The company, owned by Bury Council, provides care for young people with additional needs, people with learning disabilities, people with physical disabilities, older people, those living with dementia, autism and carers.

Kat Sowden, Managing Director at Persona, said: “We marked our first birthday earlier this year and we decided we wanted to make a special mark this Christmas time with a host of festive activities.

“Keeping our customers connected, involved in events and as active members of society is central to our mission. What better way to bring our customers together and in caring, supportive company than with a medley of festive calendar events.”

Persona delivers care through its 14 centres and in people’s homes.
