A MAN has died following a collision in Bury.

Greater Manchester Police were called just before 2pm on Thursday, August 17 to a collision involving a blue Audi Q7 and a red Dacia Sandero on Willow Street.

Both drivers remained at the scene to speak with officers.

The driver of the Dacia Sandero, David Tobin, a 67-year-old from Bury, was taken to hospital feeling unwell.

He died on Sunday, August 20.

No arrests have been made.

Police Sergeant Brian Orr of GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “I want to express my sincere condolences to David’s family and we are doing all we can to support them at this extremely difficult time.

“Our investigation to establish the circumstances surrounding this collision remains ongoing and I would ask that anybody with information contacts the Serious Collision Investigation Unit.

“We are appealing for anyone that witnessed the collision or may have any CCTV or dash-cam footage to please get in touch.”
