Bus becomes beached in Bury New Road after driver attempts alternate route

The incident occurred at around 10am leaving a First Bus blocking the carriage way.

The bus has since been recovered and the road reopened with no bus services affected.

First Bus has launched an investigation in to the incident.

A First Bus spokesperson said: “We can confirm that one of our vehicles attempted to divert down an alternative route, but the vehicle has now been recovered and all services have returned to normal.”
