Woman falls from motorway bridge
A WOMAN fell from a bridge near Junction 17 of the M60 in Whitefield early this morning.
The incident, which occurred around 7am, resulted in a clockwise section of the motorway between Junction 17 and Junction 18 (Simister Island) being shut while emergency services attended the scene.
The casualty was treated by paramedics at the scene then taken to Manchester Royal Infirmary.
The motorway was closed for approximately 15 minutes but all lanes reopened at 8pm.
