HUNDREDS of residents are without water after a water leak in Holcombe Brook this morning.
A leaking pipe at the junction of Bolton Road West and Est Bank Road has led to residents in the BL0 and BL8 postoces experiencing low pressure or no water this morning.
Water could also be seen streaming down Bolton Road West towards The Hare and Hounds pub.
Engineers from United Utilities are currently working to fix the problem.
A spokesman for the water company said: "Our team is working to redirect water flows along other pipes to turn the taps back on as quickly as possible and our Water on Wheels tankers are also on their way to the area to start pumping water into the mains.
"We apologise for the inconvenience this may be causing our customers and are doing everything we can to get things back to normal."
