Recycling centres in Bury and across Greater Manchester have changed their opening times as the clocks have moved forward.

With the longer days, the recycling centre opening times, usually 8am to 6pm, have now been changed to 8am to 8pm.

The centres are located on Every Street, Bury, and Cemetery Road, Radcliffe.

Both recycling points are open to vehicles, vans and twin-axle trailers.

For those in Bolton, Hurstwood Court Recycling Centre on Raikes Lane Industrial Estate will now be open until 8pm.

Salford Road Recycling Centre, Bolton, is the only centre in Greater Manchester that will not be changing its opening hours and continues to close at 6pm.

Both recycling points allow both vehicles, vans and twin-axle trailers.

Two-metre height restrictions have been removed at all recycling centres barring Spring Vale in Rochdale and Every Street in Bury.

Anyone using a van (including a hire van), pick-up truck or vehicle with a twin-axle trailer, will need to apply for a van permit before bringing waste to the centre.

This applies to household waste only and businesses and traders are still required to use the weighbridge to pay to dispose of their waste.
