Chief police officers and a special unit have been targeting dangerous drivers in the borough today, August 11, with the help of a Bury MP.
Christian Wakeford, MP for Bury South, joined the Bury Tutor unit in Prestwich this morning for a traffic operation.
The operation resulted in one car being seized and several others being reported for offences.
The Traffic Operation was then moved to Walmersley Road, Bury.
Chief Superintendent Hill and Chief Inspector Barto were out on patrol in the area and joined the Tutor unit to enforce speeding using the handheld radar gun.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “We will not tolerate 'dangerous driving' in our district and will continue to build public trust and confidence along with delivering an outstanding service to the public.
“Have a good and safe weekend to the good people of Bury.”
