Bury's motorists will have six road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network in the next two weeks.

Two of them are expected to cause moderate delays with drivers facing waits of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

• M60, from 9pm on Sunday April 21 to 5am tomorrow, Tuesday, April 23, slight delays of under 10 minutes: M60 anti-clockwise, junction 19 to junction 18 - lane closure for barriers which are permanent on behalf of National Highways.

A further five closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• M60, from 9pm tomorrow, Tuesday, April 23 to 5am on Wednesday, April 24, moderate delays of 10-30 minutes: M60 clockwise junction 17 to junction 18 - carriageway closure for communications.

• M60, from 8pm on Wednesday, April 24 to 5am on Thursday, April 25, slight delays of under 10 minutes: M60 clockwise junction 19 to junction 20 - lane closure for drainage on behalf of National Highways.

• M60, from 8pm on Wednesday, April 24 to 5am on Friday, April 26, slight delays of under 10 minutes: M62 eastbound, junction 18 to junction 19 - lane closure for communications.

• M60, from 9pm on Thursday, April 25 to 5am on Friday, April 26, slight delays of under 10 minutes: M60 anti-clockwise, junction 19 to junction 18 - lane closure for barriers which are permanent on behalf of National Highways.

• M60, from 9pm on Saturday, April 27 to 5am on Monday, April 29, moderate delays of 10-30 minutes: M60 anti-clockwise junction 17 - carriageway closure for permanent barriers.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
