SOCCER-mad youngsters have well and truly hit the back of the net after moving into a fantastic new home.
And junior players from Stand Athletic have not only changed the place theiy train and play, they've also changed their name - to Prestwich Heys Juniors Football Club.
The relocation to Prestwich Heys FC, in Sandgate Road, brings to an end a period of uncertainty for the junior side, which got into a dispute over the upkeep of its former Elms Park ground with those in charge of the Stand Athletic adult's side and Bury Council Despite the upheavel, juniors manager Chris Jones and the other volunteers who help out have been given a new lease of life.
They are even welcoming new players to the fold, having held an open day in the sunshine on September 15 for those keen to get involved.
Chris said: "We wanted to give youngsters a chance to find out more about the club under the new name and at the new ground. We feel really upbeat about the change and everyone is looking forward to a bright future."
