ONE of Britain’s most appealing creatures, the otter, is making a comeback in Ramsbottom for the first time in 100 years.
Ecology consultants have found evidence of otters living on the River Irwell near Ramsbottom.
The Environment Agency says the arrival of the otters, who are very sensitive to pollution and changes in their environment, is an indication of improvements in water quality.
