A NEW centre providing services for children and their families has opened its doors in Radcliffe.
Stepping Stones Children’s Centre, based at Radcliffe Hall Primary School in Bury Street, already has 40 families registered.
It provides play sessions and crèche places for children whose parents are attending a child care group at the centre.
Families can access links with health services, childminder networks, education and training providers. Outreach work to support vulnerable children and families is a priority at the centre.
Although Stepping Stones held its first play session last month, an official opening ceremony will be held in the spring.
The centre is the second to open in Radcliffe, following Coronation Road Children’s Centre, which opened at Radcliffe Primary School in September.
There are now 11 children’s centres across the borough.
