A TEENAGE girl accused of slashing a student across the face and neck five times with a razor blade has appeared in court.
The 17-year-old, from Bury, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at Bury Youth Court last Thursday, July 28, charged with intentional wounding and possessing a dangerous weapon.
The girl is alleged to have attacked 18-year-old Bury College student Sabby Mir in an underpass close to Market Street, Bury, in May.
The victim was treated for wounds to the right eye, neck and throat at a specialist unit at Wythenshawe Hospital.
The defendant is yet to enter a plea.
Magistrates committed her case to Bolton Crown Court, where she is due to appear for a plea-and-case-management hearing on August 8.
