I AM writing with concern about the closure of Ward 30. My elderly mother was a patient on the ward just six months ago.
The care she received was outstanding. I agree totally with the nurses about what they say about rehabilitation and elderly people sometimes living on the ward for weeks.
My mother was on the ward for nine weeks and her progress was slow.
Elderly people need this time to recuperate following illness. What will the hospital do over the winter period?
