ONE lucky couple is looking to "march" down the aisle by winning the wedding of their dreams at Bury's Fusilier Museum.

The Moss Street attraction is hosting its first free wedding show on Sunday March 8 between noon and 4pm, where the final of a "Win a Wedding" competition will also be held, run in conjunction with Tower FM.

Not only will the prize include the venue for the ceremony, but embrace the wedding breakfast, evening reception, a wedding planner, table plans, venue dressing and a bridal pamper package as well as money off wedding dresses, photography, flowers and entertainment.

The winning couple will be chosen on the day of the show after competing in a range of tasks and challenges as well as a Mr and Mrs-style finale. The competition will be hosted by Tower FM’s breakfast presenter Glen Hunt.

The wedding show, based mainly in the Minden Suite, is open to all prospective brides and grooms, and will showcase more than 20 stalls and also include a live catwalk event.

Helen Smith, Fusilier Museum general manager, said: “We believe that we have a fantastic, modern facility which will provide the perfect setting for any wedding and we look forward to welcoming lots of brides and grooms on the day. "

  • Couples wishing to apply for the contest can do so online at Tower FM’s website. Registration ends on Wednesday March 4.
