BUSINESSES are being offered a unique opportunity to shine at this year’s Bury Light Night.
Traders can have their shop frontage featured in the event and in its printed guide with a unique, specially commissioned artist’s installation.
This will form part of the art trail for Bury Light Night 2015 to be held on Friday October 16.
Now in its fifth year, Bury Light Night has become a hugely successful visitor attraction in the town centre.
Many thousands of visitors have flocked to previous occasions, to enjoy light-inspired displays and unusual happenings across the town – from The Rock and Mill Gate shopping centres - and including Bury Art Museum, the Fusilier Museum, The Met, Bury Transport Museum, and other public spaces.
Kelly Townend, a member of the Mill Gate team, said: “The Mill Gate has worked in partnership with Bury Light Night since the first event in 2011, with amazing and intriguing installations in our shop spaces, attracting visitors to come and see Bury in a new light.
"From a ‘Light Club’ to a projected animation of Genie Lamp, we have seen a vast array of attractive uses for the spaces in the Mill Gate.
"We are pleased to be a part of Light Night 2015, showcasing our brilliant town.”
Bury Light Night is organised by Bury Council and The Hamilton Project.
Businesses have until Friday July 31 to apply to take part, and should e-mail Diana Hamilton at info@thehamiltonproject.co.uk
