MORE than £9,000 was raised at a glittering ball in aid of Bury Cancer Support Centre.
The Snow Ball, held at the Midland Hotel in Manchester on November 14, was hosted by entertainer Cole Page and attended by almost 200 guests, who took part in silent and live auction, raffles, and games.
Centre spokesman Sue Hyland said: "The fundraising organisers were delighted by the attendance numbers at for us what is without doubt the most glamorous event in our fundraising calendar and were pleased to welcome friends old and new.
"The centre exists because of the dedication and generosity of its supporters, staff and volunteers which enables our vital work to continue and develop. After many months of refurbishment the building has been transformed both inside and out into a welcoming, homely, nurturing space, where people can benefit from our ongoing and enduring support.
"Our next goal is to develop the service further by increasing the flexibility of the opening times."
