YOUNGSTERS learnt how to get safe on the web with a safety workshop.
Pupils from Bury Catholic Preparatory School, in Manchester Road, and Prestwich Preparatory School, in Bury Old Road, were amongst youngsters taking part in an internet safety workshop at St Bede’s College, in Manchester.
The 10 and 11-year-olds took part in the event run by online safety expert Sharon Girling. They learned how easy it is for data to be shared without their knowledge. Ms Girling said: “I think the most important thing that young people need to learn is how their personal data is being interpreted and shared. They need to understand how data posted when they were younger is still available so they can make positive changes.”
