TABLE service, now at a McDonald's near you.

The McDonald's in Park 66 Leisure Park has had a makeover and hungry customers can now order from their table, this is aimed at helping those who have to manage a tray, while finding a table and potentially mind their children and bags.

Customers also now have the option to use one of four self-order kiosks, which display menu options, nutritional information and personalise meals.

This 'digital makeover' has created 11 new jobs and aims at improving customer experience.

Simon Toft, the franchisee for seven years at the Pilsworth McDonald's, said: "Since we’ve re-opened we’ve noticed a change in how our customers are treating our restaurant.

"People who used to pop in for a quick bite to eat are staying longer to make use of the tech we now have on offer, such as our tablets and free Wifi.

"We’ve also noticed a difference in the way people are ordering, for example people are now more aware of our healthier options such as swapping fries for a side salad or adding a fruit bag to their children’s Happy Meal.”

Some of the tables in the McDonald's now have tablets fixed to them, these can be used to order, entertain children and even give people a relaxed environment in which to try out a tablet for the first time.

These changes mean more staff are now available to help customers in front of the counter, serving customers and helping them use the new digital kiosks.

Mr Toft added: "I am dedicated to invest in Bury and in the development of my employees. That’s why I’ve improved the crew room to provide them with the same facilities that our customers enjoy and have an area to train and develop to keep improving the service we offer.

"I’m confident that this new look restaurant in Park 66 will be a welcome addition to the area and I’m looking forward to welcoming our customers in to show off the changes."

McDonald's is rolling out table service at its restaurants around the country after a successful trial in Manchester in 2016.
