A HOLLINS-based chartered accountant has helped a company secure funding to launch a fashion academy and invest in a factory and essential machinery.
Kevin O’Brien, pictured, of DTE Business Advisers, has been pivotal in advising Middleton firm Headen & Quarmby on its successful return to UK manufacturing.
He played a critical role in sealing the six-figure sum from the Greater Manchester Investment Fund.
He said: “The securing of the funding involved a significant review of Headen & Quarmby’s business plan and a detailed submission to the Greater Manchester Investment Fund. However, businesses should not be put off going through the process as for the right business, funding is available.”
The funding will allow Headen & Quarmby to expand production capacity while launching a textile training academy.
Company managing director David Moore said: “The funding will help us to invest in our future and those of the students we take on at the planned Headen & Quarmby Fashion Academy.”
