AN Ainsworth church celebrated its 500th anniversary with a special lunch last month.
The event at the Ainsworth Church and Community Hall was the latest to mark Christ Church Ainsworth's milestone year.
A free exhibition showcasing photos, artefacts, and information about the church and village's history is due to take place from September 25 to 27.
Anyone willing to volunteer to help organise the exhibition, which will include displays from a variety of local groups, or with old photographs of the church or church hall they would be happy to have on show, can contact Roy Turner on 0161 764 1484.
