KIND-hearted Radcliffe driving instructor Graham Evans proved he was "up to speed" when he embarked on an innovative fundraiser.

Thanks to a successful "Drive4Josh" event, the businessman has generated £700 for the Joshua Wilson Brain Tumour charity.

Graham, who runs his own GDT driving school, decided to stage a mock driving test where people were taken around the same route and their driving was monitored by an app.

This marked their driving style and control out of 100. Points were deducted for any faults, such as penalties for not checking mirrors, driving one handed and road rage.

Those who took part needed to raise or donate £50 in aid of the charity to undertake the mock driving test challenge. They then gathered at Bury's Chinese Buffet restaurant for the presentation event when Lydia El-Shazly was announced as the winner.

Graham said: "No longer can anyone complain abut women drivers. Lydia faces an exciting and adrenaline-filled prize as she has won a Red Letter track day, driving a Lamborghini, Ferrari, and an Astin Martin. "

Commenting on the "Drive4Josh" fundraiser, he added: "Firstly, we needed a secret route with various road conditions. This needed to be a route that would not only challenge a learner but challenge some experienced drivers. Sweaty palms and butterflies were in abundance"

"Supporting the 'Super Josh' charity is always a pleasure and we are already planning the 2016 'Drive4Josh' in the hope we can make it bigger and better and raise even more money for this fantastic charity."
