A MAN had to pulled from a river by emergency services at 4am on Saturday.
The man, believed to be in his 50s, was in the stretch of river near to Radcliffe New Road.
Whitefield fire crew attended the scene and found the man on an island in the middle of the river.
A Water Rescue Team from Heywood attended the scene and pulled the man from the river.
He was treated by paramedics on the embankment for hypothermia before being taken to hospital.
