THREE youths had to be rescued from the River Irwell in Ramsbottom on Sunday.
Firefighters from Ramsbottom, Rawtenstall and Aston-under-Lyne — along with a water incident unit from Heywood — were called to the river at 3.37pm.
Upon arrival they found three youths who had got into difficulty in a dinghy.
The trio had been pushed away from the banking by the current.
Crews helped to get the youths back on dry land and were at the incident for 20 minutes.
