A CHOIR has released an appeal for more singers ahead of two upcoming performances.
Ramsbottom Choral Society has a shortage of soprano singers at its regular rehearsals.
Vocalists are invited to attend an open evening in Bury to find out more about the choir, observe or take part in a practice session, and talk to members over refreshments.
The choir is currently working on Haydn's well-known Oratorio 'The Seasons', for a performance on March 24 at Bolton Road Methodist Church, alongside soloists from the Royal Northern College of Music.
They are also gearing up for their 'Songs from the Shows' concert on May 12.
The appeal for new singers includes alto and soprano voices as well as tenor and bass.
Additional opportunities are available for sopranos who join the choir to sing solos, or sing in smaller groups.
The upcoming open evening takes place at 7.30pm on Friday, February 2, at All Saints Church, in Hebburn Drive, Bury.
Further details are available from Barry Sugden on 0161 761 2985.
