A FASHION show has helped to raise more than £2,500 for the Tottington Centre and Community Library.
The show, which featured second hand clothing, was held at Elton Liberal Club, in New George Street, on Friday night.
Cllr Yvonne Wright, who organised the event, described it as 'a big success'.
The remainder of the stock will be on sale at the library this week.
The community took over the library on February 19, but two weeks ago discovered that the boiler was condemned.
Cllr Wright said: “The funds raised are overshadowed due to this devastating news. We are shocked as we understood the boiler had been serviced in November.
"We need estimates from plumbers qualified in this type of non domestic boiler.”
