SEVEN people were arrested during dawn raids in Radcliffe and Whitefield as part of a kidnapping investigation on Wednesday morning.
Police raided six addresses in Links View Court and Hawkstone Avenue, in Whitefield, and in St Paul’s Close, in Radcliffe.
Detective Inspector Caroline Ward said: “Shortly before 7am we executed a series of warrants at six addresses in Whitefield and Radcliffe as part of an ongoing investigation into a kidnap in the Bury area.
Police arrested 7 in Whitefield this morning - Firearms, kidnap & drugs. Preplanned & not an incident we're reacting to. Busy day already!

“We have arrested seven people for a number of offences including kidnap, intimidation, conspiracy and money laundering and all remain in police custody for questioning. Enquiries remain ongoing.”
