FORMER England international and Castlebrook High School pupil, Trevor Sinclair has admitted drink driving and racially abusing a police officer.
The 44-year-old, who grew up in Whitefield, was arrested in Lytham on November 12.
He was sentenced at Blackpool Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.
Sinclair was sentenced to 150 hours of unpaid work and disqualified from driving for 20 months.
He was also ordered to pay £500 in compensation to the police officer he racially abused.
Sinclair played for the England team 12 times and began his career at the age of 16 at Blackpool FC, becoming the club's youngest ever player.
He went on to play for Queens Park Rangers, West Ham United, Manchester City and Cardiff City.
