IN the first division of the Rossendale Badminton League Central moved up to second place in the table after a big 24-5 win over Transport. Oakgate and Central couldn’t be separated with the scores finishing level at 15-15.
The last unbeaten league record fell as leaders Broadway A lost 13-17 to Riverside who avenged their defeat earlier in the season to the same opponents. Fearns A won their second game of the season when they defeated Rising Bridge B 22-8.
In the second division Goodshaw A moved to the top of the table after their 18-11 win at Phoenix.
Third placed Edenfield A, with four games in hand, remain unbeaten after their 22-8 win at Broadway B who drop down to second place. Towneley in fourth place remain unbeaten and kept themselves in the promotion race after a 23-6 win over Phoenix.
