IN the first division of the Rossendale Badminton League, second placed Central took advantage of leaders Broadway A not playing, by going top-of-the-table with a maximum 25-4 home win over struggling Rising Bridge B.
Fearns A and Oakgate fought out an exciting 15-15 draw In the second division, Towneley made it five wins in a row with an 18-11 win at Phoenix. Broadway B are now two points clear at the top of the table after a 17-12 win at Edenfield B.
But the surprise of the week was former joint leaders Goodshaw A being held to a 15-15 draw by their B team who had lost all of their previous matches Results Division One: Central 25 Rising Bridge B 4, Fearns A 15 Oakgate 15.
Division Two: Edenfield B 12 Broadway B 17, Phoenix 11 Towneley 18, Goodshaw B 15 Goodshaw A 15.
