Bury sign Sunderland defender Scott Harrison on loan

BURY have added Sunderland defender Scott Harrison to their squad ahead of Saturday's trip to Exeter.

The 20-year-old centre-back, who has signed on loan until January 1, is yet to play for the Premier League side after joining from Darlington in October 2012.

He becomes the seventh loan player at the club, along with full-backs Shaun Beeley and Dean Howell (both Fleetwood), winger Danny Mayor (Sheffield Wednesday), and strikers Danny Nardiello and Danny Hylton (both Rotherham) and Anton Forrester (Blackburn).

Football League rules mean caretaker boss Ronnie Jepson will only be able to pick a maximum of five of his loan players for any matchday squad.

There was a time you loaned one player to 'test drive' him for a month before deciding to buy them. All the players Blackwell signed, and we are still up to 7 loanees at the club now, and in total for the season so far even more. Is that what we've become? A team of cast off released guys, veterans, and failed to make its elsewhere befores. Its only just over 2 years ago we knew basically what the team line-up was going to be every week in our promotion year. Then we didn't have this revolving door of 'guys'. Tom Lees helped us and gained experience and now plays for an England Team. Oh the days of 2011 when we had a settled squad with players that entertained us mostly with the style of play. Well I guess we will drift on....until we get a Captain to lead us on January 1st.

Welcome to The JD stadium Scott,i'm sure you will gain invaluable match time during your short spell with us.14 months without a comepetitive game is quite a long time but if you add competition to the defence then you will have brought something to the squad.

Thanks for listening Ronnie and good luck to the boys against The Grecians down in south west.
Yes please do get a life Lolz08,(old broken record springs to mind).
