First published in Sport

GREYMARE Galacticos were held to a draw by the uncompromising Tony Sheridan’s Rose and Crown of Haslingden in the Ramsbottom Elite Darts League.

In a night of twist and turns, ebbs and flows, the Rose lads found themselves 4-3 up with one game to go. Up stepped the Prince and Chris Macternan for the Galacticos who duly won the final game to earn a hard fought draw and protect their unbeaten record. Howard Smith hit a glorious 180 for the Rose.

The Legion dismantled the Oaks 6-2, with Steve Dunne hitting a 180. Oaks’ Marcus Lamb got the man-of-the-match award. The Buchanan’s had a fabulous draw with the Hamers 4-4, with Hamer’s captain, Bebop hitting a 102 finish and hitting scores of 100, 140 and 102.

The Rose and Crown of Ramsbottom inflicted more pain on the Masons with a 7-1 thrashing.
