GREENMOUNT dropped to fifth place in the Bolton League at the weekend after their home clash with top-of-the-table Egerton was abandoned on Sunday.
It means the Brandlesholme Road outfit are now seven points behind the leaders with four games left to play.
The weekend had started well for Andy Kerr's side with a 21-run victory away to Eagley on Saturday.
Skipper Kerr led with the bat knocking 57 before Phil Ingram added 43. Andrew Bowker also scored high with 47 not out as Greenmount posted 166-3 – with all three wickets falling to Saif Bhojani (3-60).
Eagley’s response started well as they posted 76-2 with Awais Zia hitting 53.
But Mark Stewart (5-48) and Josh Macey (3-54) halted the reply and dismissed the hosts for 145.
