Radcliffe AC’s juniors were out in force last weekend at Heaton Parkrun with some impressive results.

Skyler Parry, aged eight, completed her 100th parkrun in an impressive time of 29mins 38secs, while Grace O’Donnell and Aoife Warr started their parkrun journey with their first run at the popular event in 33:56 and 48:41 respectively. They were supported by a strong junior team of Duncan Whalley (20:17 PB), Robbie Parkinson (21:47), Niamh Warr (32:25) and Oliver Swan (33:57).

The adults were also out in force at Heaton with Adam Wills (23:16), Charlotte Holden (27:40), Dominic Parry (29:29), Kevin Dewhurst (32:51), Sheila McNulty (33:09), Ian Swan (33:58), Sara Parry (39:47) and Peter Warr (48:47) all in action.

Results elsewhere: Alexandra Park - Mia Derbyshire 22:00; Bolton - Martin Archer 27:44; Clarence Park - Karen Wells 26:42, Kathrine Biddle 28:28, Stephen Crowe 31:27, Helen Kay 31:37; Wythenshawe - Neil Greenhalgh 25:39.

The first Manchester Area Cross Country League (MACCL) kicked off on Saturday, also at Heaton Park, with three Radcliffers taking part. Chemane Golding (FV35) finished the 8.5km route in an impressive 50:25 with Louise Shield (FV40) following in 59:08. Mark Garner (MV50) completed the men’s 10km course in a fantastic 48:41.

Peter Warr and Warren Simmens tackled the last of the Run the Moors Fell Grand Prix (RTM) race - the Withins Skyline at Penistone Hill Country Park, while a huge Radcliffe AC contingency took on the famous Manchester Half on Sunday.

First was Simon Foulkes in 1:31:07, closely followed by Ian Swan with a PB in 1:33:55.
