Radcliffe Athletic Club continued to impress this week in the second race of the Central Lancashire Grand Prix (CLGP) with an incredible 28-strong team.

The Lostock 6 Road Race is one of the UK’s oldest road races and was a complete sell-out with a field of 441 runners.

First in for RAC was Christian Peters (M Senior) in a very impressive 34mins 55secs, followed by Craig Norman (MV45), in 38:07. Club newcomer Andrew O’Donnell (M Senior), was hot on their heels in 39:24, followed by veteran Michael Kontowtt (MV60) in 42:47. First female to cross the line for Radcliffe was Mia Derbyshire (F Senior) in 45:03 with junior Robbie Parkinson following in 45:19.

Travelling to Blackpool to take on the Stanley Park 10k was Mark Williams (MV55), Natalie Hitchen (FV45) and Sarah Rushton (FV50) finishing in 43:37, 1:11:33 and 1:11:34 respectively, while braving the trails and embracing the mud at Standish Hall Trail Race was Alison Howarth (FV50) in 1:04:51.

Kath Biddle (FV45) travelled to the Yorkshire Dales to tackle the ‘grimmer than grim’ Settle Road Race 2024 (half-marathon). She finished in 2:17:03.
