BURY ABC boxers Muhammed Ali and Sahir Iqbal have become English junior ABA champions following a weekend of bouts at Mansfield Civic Centre.
Sixteen-year-old Ali beat Brentwood ABC’s James Harrison, who was disqualified in the second round for holding in their 52-kilos clash.
Iqbal, aged 17, beat Finchley ABC’s Mason Smith at 57k on a split decision. Both boys travel to Swansea Leisure Centre at the weekend to represent England in the three-nations match between England, Wales and Scotland.
