BURY boxer Scott Quigg is vowing to bounce back in style when he makes his long-awaited ring return next month.

The 28-year-old has been out of action since losing his WBA super-bantamweight title to Carl Frampton on points in a split decision in February.

Quigg suffered a broken jaw in his first professional loss at the Manchester Arena but is now fully recovered and set to fight again at the same venue on the undercard of Anthony Joshua's defence of his IBF heavyweight crown on December 10.

The former world champion has moved up to featherweight as he looks to start a new chapter of his career and while no opponent has yet been confirmed, Quigg is determined to put on a blistering show.

"On December 10, I've got to go out there and make a statement and get people talking about me again," he told Sky Sports.

"I've got the right platform to do it, Manchester Arena, massive bill and my goal is to go out there and steal the show. Put in a performance where people are talking about me and then start linking me with those big names again.

"The division is thriving and not just the world champions. You've got Abner Mares, Jesus Cuellar, Gary Russell Jr. It's a packed division and these are the fights that I want to be involved in.

"We're trying to get the biggest fight possible.

"I know all the world champions are tied up at the minute, but obviously I need to get a good win under my belt, so we want a big name."
