WALSHAW Cricket Club have signed former Standish all-rounder David Bowden as their new professional.
Bowden is a left-arm spin bowler and middle-order batsman and will strengthen the Bolton Association side.
Rob Faulkner has stepped down as captain and Mikey Watt has taken on the role while Jamie Pilling has left to join Ramsbottom.
The club’s winter nets start on Sunday at Smithills, Bolton, and last for six weeks. The seniors train from 1-2pm and with the under-9s and under-11s, under-13s and under-15s following in one hour intervals respectively.

Meanwhile, Elton CC have signed Toby Bulcock as their professional.
