JACK Hudson scored 20 points as Lancashire Spinners held on at Worthing Thunder to post their first National League victory of the season.
He played all 40 minutes of a tense encounter, adding seven assists and six rebounds to complete an impressive all-round display in the 78-74 win for the Bury-based side.
“Jack was huge today,” said Spinners coach Neal Hopkins. “He controlled the tempo. His ability to make others better is what we want – it's infectious.”
Lancashire overcame three players fouling out in the fourth quarter to keep Worthing at arms' length.
The Thunder got to within a point in the third quarter, but never managed to get their noses in front.
Hudson's super show was backed up by 19 points and 12 rebounds from forward David Ulph, as well as 18 points from Connor Murtagh.
