RADCLIFFE AC's Mike Cooke ran a fine time in the Roddlesworth Roller at Abbey Village, Bolton on Sunday putting him 18th out of a field of 177.

The vet-40 clocked 38mins 45secs on the 5.6-mile undulating multi-terrian course. He was one of six members taking part in the 27th annual Roller.

Mark Wolfenden (V45) ran 46:46, Mauro Rotondi (V45) 47:32, Kath Davies was second vet-55 with 49mins, Eileen Sharman (V60) ran 53:45 and Eileen Royle was first vet-65 in 55:36.

On Saturday, Davies and Royle ran the 5k Bolton Parkrun at Leverhulme Park. Davies finished in 25:28 and Royle clocked 28:10.

Rob Shiels (V40) and Mark Williams (V45) had a great battle in the same parkrun with Shiels taking10th place out of 325 runners in a new personal best of 19:29 and Williams finishing 12th in 19:53. Paul Barrington (V40) also ran clocking 24:41.

There were three personal bests for runners in the flat and fast Trafford 10k in South Manchester on Sunday. First home for the club was Chemaine Brier, who was pleased with her personal best of 44:56. Sheila Jones (V55) clocked 47:33, Chris Saville set a new best with 49:40, while Zena Knowles also notched up a new personal best with 53:04. Kate Holden clocked 53:14, Kirsten Cook ran 54:18 and Tom West, who was first vet-75, clocked 1hr 01mins 45secs. The event was part of the club's road race championship.

On Saturday, Jones joined 546 runners at the 5k Heaton Parkrun and ran 23:30. First home for the club was Peter Hunter in 20:59 with Simon Barrett clocking 22mins and Carly Rourke 31:29.

Dawn Evans travelled further afield and competed in the Richmond Parkrun in Surrey clocking 35:19.
