THE Shakers drew 2-2 with Australian outfit Melbourne City in a behind-closed-doors friendly on Tuesday.
The game took place at Manchester City’s training ground and the Shakers came from behind twice to earn a draw thanks to goals from Pablo Mills and Craig Jones.
On Saturday, the Shakers lost a similar friendly at West Brom when goals from Graham Dorrans and Saido Berahino gave the Baggies, who included former Radcliffe Borough defender Craig Dawson in their line-up, a 2-0 victory.
Meanwhile, ex-Shakers midfielder Tommy Miller is training with old club Hartlepool following his departure from the JD Stadium this summer.
Hartlepool are also said to be keen on adding ex-Premier League midfielder Michael Brown to their ranks with reports in the North East suggesting Mancunian Brown is also on Bury’s radar.
