WALSHAW came away from Platt Lane with a hard-earned 1-0 win in a tight dour contest in the Premier Division of the Manchester League.
The home side set out their stall to stifle the Bury side, and while Walshaw had the lions share of possession, they only had a Lee Bruce half-chance to show for their efforts at the break.
The second period was not much better until on 80 minutes a corner was nodded on by Baz Campbell and teenager Ryan Leeming continued his rich vein of scoring form as he finished neatly from the edge of the box.
Relegation-threatened Gregs gave Walshaw a few nervy moments towards the end and in the 88th minute they were indebted to their keeper Jordan McBriar who made a superb save from a late corner to preserve the lead and take all three points.
