A last minute equaliser from Liam Donnelly rescued a deserved point for the Old Boys in an entertaining encounter at Buckley Sells.

Behind after only two minutes, Bury clawed their way back into the game when Matkin’s determination on the edge of the box freed the ball up for Andy Dakin to slide in the equaliser.

Yet only brave keeping from Tom Massey kept Bury alive with three smothering saves.

As chances came and went, the visitors thought they had secured the game when they retook the lead on 75 minutes.

But Bury exerted pressure on the goal and Donnelly forced the ball home from Gaz O’Sullivan’s cross to level the scores.

The visitors also had the chance to secure all three points as the ball fizzed around the goal-mouth in added time.
