KEVIN Glendon praised his free-scoring front men after easing into the second round of the Doodson Cup.
Dave Sherlock and Bradley Robinson gave Boro a 2-0 advantage after only 11 minutes, after which the Stainton Park men retreated into their shell a little.
A strong finish saw Danny White add a third late on, giving Glendon plenty of reason for cheer on a bitterly cold midweek evening.
“For 25 minutes we were excellent,” said the Boro boss. “The front six are all very capable and the wide lads have worked hard to make sure there are crosses coming in.
“We dropped off a bit but it’s great to be keeping a clean sheet because there haven’t been many of them this season, in fact they are rare in non league in general.
“But I’m pleased with how things are going for us at the moment. “We know where we are as a club and that certain things have got to improve but I think people get value for money when they watch us. We are an exciting team to watch.”
