BRADLEY Robinson’s goalscoring form may be giving opposition defences nightmares this season, but it is also starting to trouble Radcliffe Borough manager Kevin Glendon.

The former Manchester city striker fired home his 10th goal of the season in Saturday’s 3-2 defeat at home to Farsley FC.

And while the young forward’s eye for goal has delighted the Boro boss, he is also beginning to fear the prospect of losing another top talent to a wealthier club.

“It has already happened with Darren Thornton this season and I am beginning to hear about other managers talking about Bradley,” he said.

“So while his form is brilliant, it would be a shame to lose another good player to a team with better finances.

“Saying that, I am sure that the lad likes it here, but if he gets a better offer then I will just have to give him the best advice I can and leave the decision up to him.”

Robinson arrived at Stainton Park in the summer and, after missing a few early chances in the opening weeks of the season, the former England Under-19 international has really started to shine.

He fired Boro level on Saturday after they conceded an early opener against Farsley, who are second in Evo-Stik Division One North.

But despite later going ahead through a Matt Landregan strike, they eventually lost out, downed by a 92nd-minute winner.

“We know the teams we need to beat – the one’s around us,” said Glendon, whose side is third-bottom, one place above the drop zone.

“But we have performed well against the top teams, conceding stoppage- time winners against the top two.

“We would have to say that points against teams like Farsley and (leaders) Warrington are a bonus.

“Games against teams like Burscough on Boxing Day and Cammell Laird (December 28) are the ones we need to get three points in.

“But saying that, if Bradley had taken the chances he missed in the early part of the season then we would have been comfortably in mid-table and not worrying about our league position.”

While Robinson is making a name for himself at Boro, Glendon hopes to have unearthed another young star in 18-year-old former Manchester City and Barnsley full-back Kenna Ngoma.

The teenager filled in at left-back against Farsley and looks set to be given another chance in Boro’s next match at Kendal Town on Saturday.

“Kenna had a very good debut for us,” said Glendon. “But this is a tough league, so we will have to see if he can carry that on.

“He has had to drop down from Barnsley and I know the lad is having trials elsewhere, but if he can use us to keep fit and we can get some games out of him then that is great for both of us.”
